About Pip

The expression of movement has always been a core element of Pip’s life from dancing and choreographing to bobsleighing and hurdling. Her unique career as a BBC, ITV, GMTV television presenter and writer for the Sunday Telegraph continue to inspire her work.

Her paintings represent a felt sense of motion both from her personal experience and the imagined experience of concepts, objects, plants, or animals. Fascinated about how movement fills a space, she depicts the kinaesthetic sense of different environments in her mixed media abstract pieces.

Pip studied Human Movement and Art at St Johns’ College York, specialising in dance and fabric design, before completing an MSc. in Sport Science at the University of Loughborough. She has continued painting, drawing, and working with clay throughout her life and arrived as an abstract expressionist in 2023.

Sustainability Commitment

“I believe that creativity should not cost the planet. I use recyclable and environmentally friendly products wherever possible.

This includes biobased acrylics which are biodegradable and reduce VOC emissions, wooden frames and long-life specialist art bags to reduce the need for plastic and bubble wrap.

My commitment to using environmentally friendly materials is rooted in a deep respect for nature and compassion for the generations to come.” Pip Mole

More About Pip

Not every story makes it to the artist’s statement. So, if you’ve ever wondered what truly informs the work Pip creates check out the below Podcast Video.

Pip sat down with Scott Hamilton on the Third Half Podcast to pull back the curtain on, what he calls, ‘a refreshingly unconventional career’. They dive into the life experiences that have shaped Pip's thinking—the moments that inspired her, the ones that provoked her, and the career path that brought her here.

Art isn’t just what you see on the canvas—it’s the sum of every year, experiment, and evolution that came before it.
